The McRib Is Back For a Limited Time! @ McDonald's! And We Finally Tried It For the First Time!

I've always wondered what the fuss was all about with the McRib! Why is it so hyped? Is it a nostalgia factor? Is it really all that and more? It is it so good that people are actually excited for it's return!?

Whenever I hear the McRib returning, a vision of N'Sync's Baby back baby back McRib commercial from the early 2000s appears in my head. I loved that commercial... LOL so catchy! But never tried the McRib until recently!

Disclosure: I was sent McRib vouchers to try it as media. No worries though because all opinions are my own and will not be swayed!

Kevin, Danny and I got McRibs and of course... some happy meals! To make our dinner a bit happier... you know?

The iconic McRib returns for a limited time at participating restaurants in Southern California and throughout the U.S. Wanna find out where? Apparently there is an app called the "McRib Finder App" available for both android and iOS. NO JOKE! I saw it while installing the McDonald's App!

If you're a true fan, you might need that app! And if you're too lazy to go to to the store, get it delivered on the UberEats app!

From the press release:
The McRib is made with 100 percent seasoned boneless pork, McDonald’s signature McRib sauce – a sweet, tangy, barbeque style sauce – and served with dill pickles and mild, fresh slivered onions on a toasted hoagie-style bun. Like all of McDonald’s national sandwiches, the bun for the McRib is now free of high-fructose corn syrup. The sandwich dates back 35 years ago and was inspired by McDonald’s first executive chef – it first appeared on the menu in Kansas City, Kansas.

I tried getting 3 McRibs to stack on top of each other. It was quite difficult... as these McRibs are slippery from the BBQ sauce!

Can you tell I went out in my pajamas? LOL

THERE IS A DEAL FOR THESE MCRIBS!

Currently, you can get 2 McRibs for just $5! Not bad at all!

A GREAT DEAL: 2 MCRIBS FOR $5.
Whaaaat?! That's so cheap! I think I can be full with two of these!

TASTE WAS PRETTY GOOD
After trying these for the first time, I can see why there is a cult-like following for the McRib. It's great for bbq lovers and not at a bad price.

However, for me, it was just okay. I thought it was too saucy. And it overall tasted like those frozen Banquet brand tv dinners. The ones with bbq meat!

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? HAVE Y'ALL TRIED THESE BANQUET BBQ BONELESS PORK RIB!? I thought the McRib meat tasted exactly like this! LOL And Danny and Kevin agreed too!

I got the McRibs at the Garden Grove location on Chapman / Brookhurst. Service was quick and friendly!

Here's the address to that Chapman / Brookhurst location:
9845 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92841
