I introduced this place to some friends a few weeks ago and they love it! One of them is from Japan and she thought it was craaazy how you gotta eat with your hands and get down and dirtayyy!
This place had NO WAIT and I believe it was a weekend too! I think it was a Friday night... Initially, I intended on going to Boiling Crab but I was smart to call them up first. They notified me that it would be NO GUARANTEE and the wait would be about 2 hours. 2 HOURS?! HELL NAW. My stomach needs food like NOW! So, I decided to give this place a chance! I've been wanting to try this place anyways and was hoping that it wouldn't be disappointing to my new friends!
This place did more than impress me. THEY HAVE 4 DIFFERENT KIND OF OYSTERS. They are all FRESH too! I looooove eating oysters raw and these oysters tasted unbelievably fresh. They were big and MEAAAAAAAATY. We ordered the sampler and my stomach was more than satisfied by the juicy and volumptuous oyster meat! We also ordered honey bbq wings and fish sauce wings (so asian...) and both were YUMMAY. Fish Sauce Wings is a MUST TRY if you wanna be adventurous! It is actually my new fave type of wing! We also ordered shrimp and crawfish; 1lbs each. The shrimp was soaked in garlic butter sauce and the crawfish was the shack style sauce. They are both served in these bowls (instead of plastic bags like Boiling Crab / Claws / Kickin Crab do) and another bowl is given to place the shells in. I thought this was pretty cool because we wouldn't have to worry about getting our arms dirty from opening a plastic bag and also, it's much easier to get our hands on the shrimp and crawfish! (Did I mention these were fresh crawfish?)
OMG EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. WHY DID I NEVER GO HERE? WHY DID I ALWAYS GO TO BOILING CRAB??? THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE CAJUN CRAWFISH / SHRIMP / OYSTER PLACE.
To sum it up:
- the workers are friendly!
- there was NO WAIT
- the parking sucked though..
- the crawfish tasted super fresh
- the sauce was plentiful
- the wings were yummay, especially the fish sauce one!
- the oysters are OOHH MA GERD to die for (but I hope you don't really die from like consuming raw seafood. be careful!)
- the oysters are huuuuuuuuge
