CHE'NELLE PERFORMS AT THE 626 OC NIGHT MARKET - COSTA MESA

I DON'T KNOW WHY I NEVER UPLOADED AND POSTED THESE PICTURES...

DO YOU GUYS REMEMBER THE 626 OC NIGHT MARKET THAT HAPPENED A FEW WEEKS AGO IN MAY 2014 ?? THAT LASTED THE ENTIRE WEEKEND FROM FRIDAY TO SUNDAY?? ON FRIDAY NIGHT, THE SPECIAL PERFORMANCE FEATURED CHE'NELLE! A POPULAR MALAYSIAN SINGER THAT HAS AWESOME VOCALS AND IS POPULAR IN JAPAN. ACTUALLY, I DISCOVERED HER WHILE STUDYING ABROAD IN JAPAN. SHE HAS GREAT R&B SONGS AND SINGS IN JAPANESE! BUT SHE'S NOT EVEN JAPANESE... PRETTY DARN COOL RIGHT!?

I HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH AYA AND HER FRIEND ELIJAH AND ENOCH!! AYA AND I WERE TOTALLY FANGIRLING TO CHE'NELLE!

(EXCUSE ME FOR THE ALL CAPS LANGUAGE BECAUSE I'M PRETTY EXCITED ABOUT CHE'NELLE!)

I LOVE PUNS! GET TIPSYYYYYYYY AND TIP!!

EWWWWWW. THE STINKY TOFU SMELL WAS REALLY SMELLY. EVEN WHEN WE WERE AT THE FAR AWAY MAMA MUSUBI BOOTH!

OKAY. So Aya and I waited in the longest line ever at around 11pm at night for Mama Musubi. Now, what I don't get is why is this booth called Mama Musubi, Gourmet Rice Balls, when these are definitely not musubis at all. Aren't musubis supposed to be of Hawaiian Origin and square/rectangular shaped? The food sold at Mama Musubi is clearly called onigiri and not musubi. So, that totally baffled me! They didn't really have that exciting choices either. Just the typical musubis that you would see at a typical Japanese Convenience Store. Well, I guess the beef one was pretty unique but other then that, I would NOT visit the store location and I would NOT have waited in such a long line for overpriced triangular shaped "musubis" that are actually called onigiris. They were teeeeeeny tiny too! But, my friend Aya seemed to like it so I guess that's all that mattered ^__^
