SO THE ABOVE PICTURE BASICALLY SHOWS THAT THEY HAVE A "HOP BOX". MY NAME IS HOP... ARE THEY GONNA PUT ME IN A BOX ?! HAHA . JUST KIDDING THOUGH. I JUST HAD TO TAKE A PICTURE BECAUSE YOU KNOW... IT'S MY NAME...!!
THE SPRINKLES ICE CREAM STORE OPENED BASICALLY THE SAME DAY THAT I LEFT FOR JAPAN LAST YEAR WHICH WAS AROUND THE END OF MARCH 2013. IT'S BEEN A LITTLE OVER A YEAR NOW THAT THEY'VE BEEN OPEN AND I FINALLY GOT TO TASTE IT!
The prices here are definitely NOT CHEAP. But, you know, it's Newport Beach so they can charge whatever and people will still buy. The cupcakes are overpriced in my opinion so I would definitely not make this a daily treat They are about $4-$5 a cupcake from what I remember but at least they aren't super tiny. I'd say that are pretty decent medium sized cupcakes. I honestly wouldn't be able to finish one cupcake without feeling blechhh. I usually share a cupcake with my bf when I get it from here because it is very thick and rich as well as super sweet. It's actually too sweet in my opinion but I still like it...
Cupcakes + Ice Cream though, is basically a match made in heaven!! The Sprinkles Ice Cream (yes, they have their own ice cream brand apparently...) offers ice cream, ice cream cookie sandwiches, ice cream cupcake sandwiches, and ice cream cupcake sundays. They also have teensy tiny mini waffle cones too that are super adorable. Anyways, I reaaaaaally love the combo. Screw just buying the cupcakes, I'd rather buy the ice cream AND cupcakes together because they taste just sooooooo delicious together. It is true that their ice cream is too sweet and when combined with the cupcakes that are also too sweet, it can be overbearingly sweet... but I honestly like it as a once-in-a-while treat! The prices are expensive though and can range from $6 to $10. They also limit customers to 2 samples of ice cream only but sometimes they are nice and let you have more samples.
This is a great (and expensive) place to get a gift because you can put letters on the cupcakes! They have multiple letters and numbers in different colors and you can write a message and give it to someone!
My recommendation is to go here if you're down for some super sweet (maybe too sweet) and possibly overpriced cupcakes that are freshly made everyday (right?? I think...?!) ! It's even better together with Ice Cream!! And they have a red velvet waffle cone as well! Pretty neat!

- My favorite ice cream is the Captain Crunch!
