UNIQUE GELATO & POPSICLES @ FROZEN BAR - GARDEN GROVE

ADDRESS:
10130 Garden Grove Blvd Suite 115
Garden Grove, California
(In the same plaza as OC & LAU Restaurant, Volcano Tea, & Genki Living)

THEY HAVE TOPPINGS! BASICALLY THE USUAL CEREAL TOPPINGS LIKE CAPTAIN CRUNCH. THEY ALSO HAVE M&MS AND OREOS AND ETC. THEY DO NOT HAVE MOCHI UNFORTUNATELY....
CHRISTINA TRYING SOME DELICIOUS SAMPLES!
NOTICE THE WAY THEY DISPLAY THEIR DIFFERENT FLAVORS WITH THE ACTUAL FRUIT PLACED ON THE ICE CREAM RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE!! NEAT!
LOL... THAT THAI TEA BOTTLE ON THE THAI TEA ICE CREAM...

WE GOT 4 FLAVORS: POPCORN, AVOCADO, COOKIES N CREAM, PINK GUAVA

REMEMBER U CAN GET TOPPINGS FOR 50 CENTS! LUCKILY MY DARK CHOCOLATE CHIPS WERE ON THE HOUSE TODAY!

DOESN'T THIS REMIND U OF THE DISNEY MOVIE "FROZEN" ?!?!

This dessert restaurant offers a variety of unique gelato flavors as well as popsicle bars! They didn't really have any cool popsicle bars out made so I didn't take any photos of them.

Christina and I tried various samples today! Our favorites came out to be the Popcorn, Avocado, Cookies n Cream, and Thai Tea!

We got two flavors in the small cup which is actually pretty small.
  1. POPCORN: tastes literally like kettle corn or something like that. sooooooooo delicious! Makes me feel like I wanna eat it while watching a movie!
  2. AVOCADO: wow, this tasted super creamy. If you have ever had an Avocado Smoothie from Lee's Sandwiches, this is what it tasted like!
  3. COOKIES N CREAM: This is a classic for me and it's hard for anyone to mess up on this flavor...right? Anyways, it tasted delicious just how it should!
  4. PINK GUAVA: This one was a bit sour but it really tasted like Guava! Amazing!
  5. THAI TEA: Honestly, the taste was very faint. The Thai Tea flavor needs to be more Thai Tea please!
  6. MINT CHOCOLATE: eww ew ew ! Mint chocolate is actually MY TOP #1 FAVE FLAVOR in the universe when done right. Honestly, this mint flavor tasted way too minty. I don't like it when the flavor is too strong because it ends up tasting like toothpaste.
  7. SALTED CARAMEL: Christina mentioned that this tasted really sweet but good!

This place is pretty cute and the decoration is very minimal but nice and clean looking. It reminds me of Paris Baguette a bit actually because of the grey paint and grey cushions. Their seats by the tables ARE NOT cushioned though so it's not very comfortable.

Overall, I'd definitely go here again to try their popsicles!

THEIR GRAND OPENING IS TOMORROW, JUNE 14, AND THE FIRST 100 PEOPLE GET A FREE ICE CREAM!!

UPDATE!!
Kevin and I went to Frozen Bar a few days ago (I'm kind of addicted to this place...) and they actually had GREEN TEA ice cream. However, it was sold out so we couldn't even sample any... They also now have freshly made in-house waffle cones with a unique flavor: pandan leaf! I didn't try it but I secretly really wanted to because I love pandan leaf. Kevin and I ended up ordering a Small size cup with 2 flavors: banana cocoa crunch (one of my faves) and the peanut butter with pretzel bits. Both went very well together. The price isn't even that bad in my opinion! It was less than $4 for a small size but honestly, while some people may think it's expensive, I think it's reasonable because this is gelato people! Gelato tends to be a bit pricier than normal ice cream. And, it was the perfect amount to not be too overwhelming! ^__^

LOOK AT THE GREEN COLORED CONE! THE PANDAN LEAF FLAVORED WAFFLE CONE!
HIS NAME IS JEFF. ASK HIM FOR SAMPLES!!
