BEHOLD, THE "BEST FISH TACO" !
THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOO FRESH. LITERALLY THEY JUST COOKED AND FRIED IT.
MY MOUTH IS WATERING AS I'M LOOKING AT THIS PICTURE!

THE BANH MI BURRITO (BANH MI IS BREAD IN VIETNAMESE USUALLY REFERRING TO BAGUETTE SANDWICHES)

CASHIER: IT COMES WITH BACON ON TOP. IS THAT OKAY FOR YOU?
ME (THINKING): WHEN IS IT NOT OKAY ?!
ME (OUT LOUD): OH DID YOU SAY BACON ? OH YEA THAT'S FINE...

THIS PLACE IS BOMB! If you want freshly grilled or fried fish, this is the place to go because they literally cook it fresh for you! They even warn you that the fish should be consumed within 10 minutes to taste maximum freshness!

When Kev and I entered the restaurant, undoubtedly are bellies got excited from reading their menu! However, it was definitely very confusing at first because we didn't know how the seating system worked. To add to the confusion, a waitress notified us that she would be with us in a minute. This was strange because there was a line to order so we thought, why would we need the waitress to help us if we seat ourselves anyways....?!?!

So basically, this system is similar to Corner Bakery where you wait in line to give them your order and then they give you a number. You then take that number and take it to whatever seat you find. However, the problem was that this place was just too dang crowded! There were practically no seats so I guess the waitress that spoke to us earlier was there to figure out the seating situation.

We ended up sitting at the counter where there was no wait and it was fine. Our chowder fries came out quick and it was deeeeeeelicious. Why can't all places have this instead of the cliche garlic fries... hah! It's just too good! I'd have to drive down here again just for these chowder fries. We also ordered the fish taco and the banh mi burrito. I think their banh mi burrito is their attempt to add "fusion" items to their menu because "banh mi" is Vietnamese for a baguette sandwich typically (I'm Viet so I know ^__^ ).

The restaurant itself was not that big. Maybe the size of a typical Corner Bakery as well. Anyways, I like how they have big fish decorations on their walls and also they have all of their awards hung on their wall too from "Best Fish Taco" to "Best Restaurant" and even "Best Fish and Chips"! This place has pretty much a "Best" of everything! They have like more than 5 awards from what I remember. Everything was also very cleanly maintained and the waiters and waitresses often came back to ask us how we were doing (which is great customer service!).

I would totally come here again! The price is decent too especially for fresh fish. It is around $5-$15 unless you're a baller and you want the lobster roll which is like $27.

To sum it all up!

  • great customer service
  • the line can get long but it goes by quick
  • eat your food within 10 min to taste maximum freshness!
  • they cook their fish fresh here
  • Get the chowder fries! It is so worth it and comes with bacon!
  • Check in to any social media and get a FREE mini lobster toast (so yum!)
  • When it's busy, it can be hard to find a table
  • Their Fish Taco was freakin huuuuuuuuuuge that it was a bit difficult to eat because it was so big
    • pros: very big and not greasy. It has a nice layer of batter and is fried to a crisp. It also tastes super fresh
    • cons: very difficult to eat as a taco. I had to eat it with a fork and eat it all separately
  • Their Banh Mi Burrito was very good and big but didn't taste that "Vietnamese" at all because the fish sauce they put in overpowered all of the pickled veggies (carrots).
