DEAL:
I am very very annoyed right now by the way Dirty Cookie OC wrote their caption on Instagram about the deal without honoring it correctly. Or maybe ... they should re-write the caption more clearly?
Here is the caption I read from their first post stating their deal:
The caption from the photo reads: "Stay cool this FRIDAY - SUNDAY Buy one Cookie Shot filled with ice cream get the other Cookie Shot FILLED WITH ICE CREAM FOR FREEEE" and I interpreted this as: Buy 1 cookie shot with ice cream, get the 2nd cookie shot with ice cream free which basically would mean: after buying 1 ice cream filled cookie shot, the 2nd ice cream filled cookie shot is free. BUT THIS IS NOT THE CASE APPARENTLY.
Someone visited the Dirty Cookie and complained that they didn't get the deal. Heck, I was so excited and was going to go last night for the deal, but am glad I didn't because I would have felt so lied to.
WHY UTILIZE INSTAGRAM TO GIVE FLASH DEALS TO LOYAL / NEW DIRTY COOKIE FANS WHEN THE DEAL ISN'T STATED CORRECTLY?!?!
SO HERE'S AN OPEN LETTER TO YOU, THE DIRTY COOKIE OC:
I love deals. I love your cookie shots. I love your matcha cookie. Heck, I even recommended it to others that your matcha cookie shot is actually legit good and I am a huuuge matcha snob. And so when I see a deal, I love promoting it for free on my own blog. I want to tell everyone to check it out because of this awesome deal that apparently I mistakenly thought was buy 1 get 1 free.
So next time when you post cool deals on your Instagram, please state it correctly to what you actually mean. Here are some suggestions:
- buy 1 cookie shot filled with ice cream, buy the 2nd cookie shot and get free ice cream filling
- When you buy 2 cookie shots with ice cream, the 2nd ice cream filling is free! ($1 off)
And to everyone that faced complications trying to get the buy 1 get 1 free deal, I sincerely apologize. I will try my best to confirm them better. Thanks for all the support thus far, Taste Buds!
BTW: Here is general pricing:
- the cookie (cup shaped!) are generally around $7 ish
- Ice cream filling is $1 extra
- So buy 1 get 1 free would have been such a great deal! but it's only $1 off ....
- so the actual deal would be:
- two cookie shots = $14 +
- two ice cream fillings for each cookie = $2
- would total up to be $16
- minus $1 off since one ice cream filling is free = $15 total
