Photo Diary | 5th Annual Taste of Lake Forest Event Recap

The 5th Annual Taste of Lake Forest was an incredibly delicious event! There were so many booths and vendors!

IMPRESSIVE LOCAL LAKE FOREST EVENT!
Kevin and I were invited to check out the 5th Annual Taste of Lake Forest (Oct. 23) last weekend and it was amazing! We don't usually go down to the South OC area but were glad we did for this event!

There were about 20 food vendors as well as non-food vendors promoting their businesses. There were balloon animal artists and even a photobooth! Yes! I love taking photos!

The downer was that for some reason the clouds decided to leak some rain on us that weekend but it was still fun! It was on and off sprinkling. Nothing too serious. What I was really wondering was how did most people know to bring an umbrella or poncho?! How did we not get the rain memo!??

Everybody receives tasting cards which accesses 20 food vendors at just only $10! What a deal! I would totally go again! I was so impressed by the amount restaurants and also surprised to know that the participants are actually donating their time and food for the event. No wonder it's only $10... !!

We got a lot of freebies! YAY! We got some swag bags from multiple booths like re-usable tote bags. Kevin also ended up winning a messenger bag from booth with a spinning wheel!

There are so many photos of the event and so much to talk about, but I'll just focus on the notable mentions:

  • Event is inside a shopping center / plaza in Lake Forest! Wish I knew about this event for the previous years!
  • Restaurants that WOW'd us were Inka Mamas and Taqueria de Anda and Oke Poke! I'd definitely check out those restaurants again on my own time. But it was all thanks to this event for exposing me to their yummi-ness!
  • Great for family and friends and kids! There were activities such as photobooth-ing, face painting and getting balloon animals from balloon animal artists! So fun!
  • Kevin and I didn't even have the stomach room to check out all 20 booths. We were already full... like really full with just half of the places!
  • Portion sizes are great. Some places gave really big "sample" portions!

DEFINITELY GOTTA CHECK THIS EVENT FOR NEXT YEAR Y'ALL!
I have been to many "Taste of (Insert City Here)" Events and by far, Taste of Lake Forest is one of the best events I've ever been to!
